LB Wallace Annex IV is located in Prattville, Alabama, on the Autauga HIT Campus. LB Wallace Annex IV is an annex to the LB Wallace School in Mt. Meigs, Alabama. The program provides educational services to 78 male students who are committed to the Alabama Department of Youth Services.

The school day is divided into several components.  One half day is spent in academic classroom instruction.  Two separate components are taught the other half day: (a) Aggression Replacement Training and (b) Project Adventure/Alpine Tower.

The academic curriculum content is based on SDE curricula guides with emphasis on the development of basic skills in reading, language, mathematics, and science.  Academic instruction is individualized to meet the specific needs of each student.  An individual prescription is developed for each student based on previous school records, informal diagnostic techniques, and TABE test results.  Prescriptions are prepared to include one of the following:  (a) continued development of skills necessary to return to school on grade level, (b) mastery of basic skills, or (c) preparation for the General Education Development (GED) test.

Aggression Replacement Training (ART) consists of three components. The first component introduces basic social skills through modeling and role-play.  The second component is anger control. The third component is moral reasoning. These components are taught daily for a total of 21 segments.

Project Adventure is an adventure education program which provides structured learning experiences for students designed to help students develop more appropriate patterns of behavior.  Students learn the importance of working together as responsible members of a cohesive group in which members both give and receive positive reinforcement.
