DYS Data Committee

The D.Y.S. Data Committee was established in 2016 to address the need for a formalized data governance structure. The D.Y.S. Data Committee is charged with overseeing the agency’s data quality improvement process. Members of the D.Y.S. Data Committee include representatives from various departments (i.e. executive office, legal, programming, quality assurance, training, education, and information technology). A few of the tasks the D.Y.S. Data Committee is charged with overseeing includes evaluating information currently being collected across programs, determining what information is needed by management to make better informed decisions, and identifying additional data collection and management tools needed to successfully accomplish the strategic goals of the department.
