PROGRAM INFORMATION
The Pathways Juvenile Diversion Program is a partnership led by the Sylacauga Alliance for Family Enhancement, Inc. (SAFE). SAFE oversees the program’s daily operations. Pathways uses several evidences‑based guides, including Models for Change, Check and Connect, Parent Project, and Why Try. The program’s goal is to reduce commitments to the Department of Youth Services (DYS), help youth complete their court requirements, and prevent future delinquency. It does this by strengthening each youth’s connection to their family and other positive influences.
Pathways provides an alternative to traditional juvenile court processing. The program uses an individualized, strengths‑based approach that is thorough, tailored, and appropriate for each youth it serves.
