Data information about Youth Outcomes in DYS Diversion Programs
Initial Outcomes Show Early Promise
In January 2018 our Diversion Grant partners began to study outcome measures on the youth who had been participants in their programs. DYS asked that they gather information on youth, six months after completion. In June, 2018 they began the task of following up with their students to determine: where they were living, what educational or employment opportunities they were pursuing, whether they had re-offended and if they were still on court supervision. The source of the information was allowed to be from the court, parent or others. Our main focus was to get reliable information the best way possible. What follows is a statewide average of the point in time study of outcome measures for DYS diversion programs between June 2018 and December 2019.
